Artefact takes the form of an ancient Incan Quipu (knot record).
Each vertical string represents a conflict since WW1 up to present day(left to right). Red strings represent WW1 and WW2.
Knots are read in horizontal groupings across the quipu. The knots closes to the top represent a unit of One hundred thousand each. The next section of knots each represent a unit of ten- thousand. Moving down the knots each represent one-thousand, then 100, units of 10 and then units of 1. As each knot is tied every British military death is remembered from every conflict. I thank them for making the final sacrifice for our country.
